I fear, my naïve friend, that you mistake kindness for obligation. Behind this painstakingly constructed facade lays a dark, nocturnal creature whose very presence makes puppies cower and milk curdle. No, really. This is why I have to buy soy milk. It has nothing to do with lactose intolerance. I just can’t keep actual milk in the fridge what with me radiating the very power of unlife and all.

Apparently there are some dedicated hackers out there, hell bent on hacking.... LJ accounts. Specifically, the accounts of mods of large communities, so that they can get membership to click on unsafe links, such as in the screencap below-

AT ANY RATE! If you see a post claiming any community is being closed down/moved to another location, please exercise caution in clicking the links. If such a thing happens please let the other moderators know or contact LJ support if possible.

Dance in the rain

New years was nice- Mouse and Mandy came over since they were stopping at the 'rents on their way home, and we had a ton of food and talk and hanging out, and that was really nice.
I have no New Years Resolutions, because I don't believe they work. Instead I have a gameplan that Mouse helped me with, and will be doing my best to stick to it.

Today I am thankful that the days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter.
I like the night, don't get me wrong, I love it. But it irritates my seasonal dislike of winter when I wake up and it's dark dark dark.

So a friend on my friends list today had an odd post up today, saying she was shutting down her blog and moving to a new blog, and there were links. The links led to some bizarre Russian text I couldn't understand.

Well, found out later: the keyloggers are now in LJ. She'd been hacked.

So, a public service announcement to a comm that I know is very wary of security: if someone posts a nondescript message on their LJ with links to their "new blog," DON'T CLICK THEM. They are keyloggers.
